XP Oem bundled hardware?

I bought XP Home OEM (with a valid coa) from Newegg recently. The hardware it was blundled with was a 4dollar molex power splitter. Is this really valid? If I have to reactivate/reinstall will ms support accept this? The cable is listed on a seperate line on my invoice, for $4 - $4 so free.

I bought many XP home OEM from Egg, same way like you, I never got any problems for reactivation.

Technically a power splitter does not fall under the hardware requirements to sell XP - but realistically Microsoft doesn't care that much because you are indeed purchasing a copy of XP instead of pirating one.

If you read MS's oem requirements statements, the whole point of oem software is so that the system builder provides the support for Windows, not Microsoft. So I guess if you have any compatibility issues between the power splitter and the XP software, you can contact Newegg for support! 😛 Any other compatibility issues and you're on your own.
