I have a ti4600 and want to use the newest 27.xx drivers. I am well aware of the issue of NV-Refresh-Fix application not working with the latest detonators.

Does anyone use Powerstrip to cure the refresh rate problem in XP/2K? I do not believe that the shareware version will correct the problem. The version that works costs $29.00.....

Also, does Powerstrip always have to be running in the background for refresh rate fix? (contemplating whether or not to buy powerstrip).

I am so tired of this Win XP/2K refresh rate problem, nvreffix.exe was the life saver, until these new nvidia drivers starting popping up.

Oh well, any help would be appreciated.

i use rivatuner for the refresh rate fix.. and for overclocking my gf3 ti200.. since that's free, id give that a try before spending some cash on powerstrip. :)

Download the NVIDIA Refresh Rate Fix from http://www.planetquake.com/ztn/nvreffix/. Install and run the program, and click on Next, then where it says Supported Devices, click that and Update From The Internet. It'll update the list with the GeForce4's, and then you can set the refresh rate fix to work. I'm not sure if it works, as I've just found out about this today, but people said it does.

Download the NVIDIA Refresh Rate Fix from http://www.planetquake.com/ztn/nvreffix/.

nvreffix does not work with detonator drivers past 27.41. That is why I origianally started this post.

Is anyone using a registered version of Powerstrip? I really want to know how this works, before I buy it.

Thanks

The unregistered PowerStrip fixes refresh rates ok. Works for me in XP. Tip of the day screen when you boot up is a pain, though.

Download multires from the same place as Powerstrip, it's free and works. You'll need to reboot after you set the rates.
