XP never goes idle

On my PII 450, for some reason, Windows XP never recognizes that my computer has been idle, and as a result, it never turns off the monitor or goes into power save mode. It's really annoying, and I wish I knew what was going on. I've checked in Task Manager that no other programs are running, and I know there is no input from the keyboard or mouse.

Any ideas? Thanks a lot for the help.

If you have a 3D screen saver enabled, it won't ever idle if you haven't installed the patch (Q306676). I don't have the direct link, but it's in the Grand Theft Auto thread in OT where it's used to address problems with NVidia and XP.

Yup, checked all that stuff out.

I'm starting to think its my ghetto TNT video card that isn't quite working right with XP. Yeah, I know I should've upgraded it long ago, but other expenses have come in the way to the point that I'm just saving up for a whole new computer now. Still, it's be nice to get some confirmation on the cause of my problem.
