I converted an Admin account to Limited Account (no install and no system wide changes allowed, can't write to HDD except this own My Docs)
and after that every time I login into another Admin class account XP freezes to death.

I am stuck with limited access to my computer for now so it my work. Senior year in college is mission critical! No one should trust MS with such stuff.

If someone has any clue what to do, please reply ASAP.

The only thing that works is
- Loggin in to the Admin account in safe mode. This allows me to shuffle data between Admin/Limited Accounts.

I still need the Admin account to install software, use software that was installed for Admin etc.

Nikster, what, exactly, did you do?

Did you convert AN administrative account? Or THE administrator account?

Could you be a little descriptive on "freezes to death?"

Your description severely limits our ability to troubleshoot and diagnose this problem.

Details......

I had an Admin power account say "ABC" and I changed the "Account Type" to Limited User in Ctrl Panel->User Accounts.
The Administrator account is still there and there is another account that I use.

I did this while i was logged in my account (admin power).

I'm not sure if the other account was logged on or not. After clicking on OK my desktop became really really slow and froze in a while. Caps Lock wouldn't work also.
So I reboot the machine.

Now when I log into any Admin type account, it logs in and runs the startup programs. It allows me to pull up the start menu, right click on desktop; but doesn't open any windows on the screen. As in you can open IE, Notepad, Display Properties etc. Anytime you do that the system freezes.

The Limited Accounts are still working fine.

I hope that explains stuff. If you need more I'll be checking the post.

Thanks a lot!
