I've got a couple questions concerns that I hope someone can help me with. System specs: XP Home SP2, P4 2.8C 800mhz HT, Shuttle FB71 Mobo with 875P chipset, 1GB Corsair VS PC3200 memory - 2 sticks 512mb each, ATI 9800 Pro. Need anything else?

1. If I right click my computer and go to properties it says on the general tab that I have the 1GB of memory that I know I have. When I go to start, programs, aceesories, system tools, system information it says total physical memory only 512mb. Here is a quick copy/paste of the bottom of that window:
"Total Physical Memory 512.00 MB
Available Physical Memory 654.85 MB
Total Virtual Memory 2.00 GB
Available Virtual Memory 1.96 GB
Page File Space 2.40 GB
Page File C:\pagefile.sys"
Am I missing something here. Is XP seeing and using all 1GB or not? How do I know for sure.

2. Also, I went into administrative tools, performance and noticed that the memory object, Pages/sec was maxing out sometimes. Is that normal?

3. In task manager on the performance tab, i see the processr maxing out sometimes and the counter is in both green and red. The maxing out sometimes I think is ok, but why is it red and green?

Looks like windows is only seeing 512mb of your memory, what does it show in the performance tab under task manager under total physical memory?

well it looks like it's seeing the full 1gig in task manager, something isn't right though. Does bios see the full 1gig? Definatly run memtest, try with both sticks first, then 1 at a time if you get errors.
