I'm reloading a laptop for my mom (Sony Vaio) and I wanted to check the license to make sure I have the correct disk.

It's says 'Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 for Sony.' Is that just standard XP, or XP Pro... or what? 😕
 
That's the good version of XP - you get the best feature of Pro without the added cost!

To use that license key you must have a cd specifically of the Media Center Edition, a home or pro oem cd will not accept the key.

Search around, bound to find it somewhere.
