XP MCE won't install

I have XP MCE, and Vista home 64-bit.
Both discs are in perfect condition.

I've installed XP MCE on this computer .. two? times before.
and vista before also.

My issue is this: I put in the XP MCE disc, it won't say: press any key to boot from CD.
However, it does when I put in the vista disc.

And therefore, I cannot install XP.
What's the problem?

are you sure you are using disk 1?

Yep, MCE is two disks, sounds like maybe your trying to boot from disk 2 instead of disk 1.

I don't mean to crap your thread in anyway; but, given that your question was already answered -- Why are you installing XP MCE? Vista Home Premium has Media Center built in which is vastly superior to XP MCE.
