Xp losing system files

About once a week since installing xp it suddenly will not boot because it cannot find a hive or system file. seems to hapen when a non-xp qualified piece of software is installed (office xp is the only qualified software i've found so far). Running a dual boot me/xp and although I like the fischer-price look of xp i'm about to go back to 98se/2000.😕
 
Oh well......probably a bad install.....might as well take it out then!😉 New O/S's aren't for everyone and XP won't be the exeption!😉
