I've got an Epox 8kha+ MB and every so often, when I boot windows it would do a hardware detect because my sound drivers had disappeared somehow. Of course it doesn't find the drivers for the onboard sound and I have to manually point out where the drivers are located. Any idea what's causing this and what I can do about it?

Humm, it could be that windows is having a problem with your current drivers. Try going to epox's site for an update of the MB or sound drivers and see if that helps. Otherwise I'd send an email to epox, they'll have more info than anyone here about that specific problem..

It sounds to me that it is having a resource sharing problem. When the system boots, see if you can see the second post screen that displays what resources are being used and by what, look and see what may be on the same interupt as your sound. You can stop at that screen by hitting the pause key. If your sound is being shared, you can try going into the bios and play around with how the resources are being handed out. It's something to check anyways.
