I need some help here guys... I'd rather not format and install another OS for the 3rd time today hehe... I want to give XP a chance.
Here's what happens... in Windows when I move the mouse around in very small movements it tracks fine... move it faster it tracks fine too... mouse accelleration is off and I'm using the latest mouseware drivers.
The problem is with games - namely quake 2 and quake 3. Whenever I'm in the game it's impossible to make fine movements... the mouse acts like a dirty balled mouse and just sits there then jerks around as I make bigger movements... when I move real fast it's smooth tho. Needless to say if I can't make precision small movements I can't play games.
Does anybody else have this same problem? I've tried the mouse on both the USB and PS2 ports (with 200 rate) and have had no success... is there a fix that I'm not finding using google?
Edit - Uninstalled the mouseware drivers and disabled fast initilization in xp and the problem went away... I knew it would BUT I need to be able to use my Thumb Button. Don't think I can do that without the mouseware drivers... :frown:
