During initial XP install/setup, I instructed it to automatically log on as "Me" (admin level) and so on every boot, it does.

But whenever I go to Log off / Switch User, the only option is "Administrator". Why doesn't "Me" show ? Even after I log in as Administrator (same passwd - but it's a completely different profile), I try to switch user and the only user listed is still "Administrator". What happened to "Me" ? It is indeed a listed local user (admin level).

I thought that "Administrator" is not supposed to show up on the logon screen? (Doesn't on mine except in safe mode)

Anyway, try TweakUI, under Logon you can set which names will show up.

Try changing the way user log on in User Accounts. Set the options to NOT use the welcome screen with fast user switching.

Then logoff, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and try entering the user id "Me" manually.

See if it works.
