whenever I install a fresh new XP Pro onto this computer it always ended up loading more than 25 seconds before it goes into the desktop. No no... not the first time boot up but the 10th, 100th, 1000th... Though for some reason in between of that 100th bootup I came times when the computer would only take no more than 8 seconds to bootup! WTH is this? my MSCONFIG doesn't have any junks checked, nor bad registry cuz I clean my hdd everyday. not even a spyware nor a chocolate cookie is in there. Uhm, anyway... I really need someboday to help me with this so I'd appreciate it if somebody can boost my XP load up speed... oh yeah I have tried Bootyvis? Bootvis? A program that claimed to load up OSs in no time but doesn't work on my system.

When you say more than 25 seconds is it like a few seconds more or are we talking about minutes here ?

Have you tried using Startup Cop it's all I ever use and seems to work very well at disabling those pesky programs.

Typiko512, does your mainboard have RAID? If so, is it enabled or disabled? Also, in your sig you mention a Belkin NIC, is it for broadband, or are you on a network?
