I have tried installing XP on one of my computers, and the XP installation is blocked with a message saying my video card (Elsa Gladiac Geforce2 GTS) is incompatible with my mobo (Asus P3B-F). This seems crazy. Has anyone else encountered this?
I haven't personally emcountered it, but I've read about it in PC Magazine.
XP will analyze the hardware and sometimes absolutely refuse to install
if the BIOS or drivers will casue a conflict (BSOD). My recommendation is
to get the latest BIOS for your MB and the latest drivers for your Vid card.

It could be that for known hardware the resources they want overlap or are identical. Of course, I am not sure how verbose the 2K kernal handles resouces when compared to Win9x. I only know that I've never had a problem with 2K or XP. Do you have another veideo card available?
