XP Install on SATA?

Ok i have a MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R motherboard with sata connections. I am trying to install XP Pro on a Western Digital WD3200JD SATA drive. I started the install and pressed the F6 button to install SCSI drivers. After doing so the computer asked to continue installing on my device but when it gets to the next screen it says that no hard drive could be found. I went and checked the BIOS and the hard drive does not come up on any of the hard drive selections. The hard drive does show up on the Raid configuration during the boot up, but this screen is useless since I only have one drive. Please help!

It looks like there's 2 sets of SATA controllers on your board. Are you sure you don't have your SATA drive on the RAID controller set?

Well I installed the controller drivers and it worked for me. However it did not let me choose which partition on the hard drive to install to. It just defaulted to the first partition (C🙂. What would have happend if I didn't already have partitions on the hard drive?
