XP ICS slight problem...

Okay I have a Tivo with ethernet but my router is really far from the tivo. Luckily the router has wireless 802.11b. I also have a laptop with Wireless and ethernet buit in. So I shared the wireless connection and gave the ethernet ip address of 192.168.0.1 and sub 255.255.255.0. So the way it looks is

Tivo (ethernet) ------> Laptop -----> (Wireless) Router/internet

The tivo connects to the internet BUT the laptop won't. If I disconnect the ethernet cable, then the internet on the laptop works. I get the feeling that when the cable is connected, XP thinks that the internet at the ethernet port and not the wireless for the laptop. Any help?

I've notice that on every diagram of ICS I've seen that the internet is usually connected via the ethernet. I've never seen one that is connected wireless or even to a router first. Am I defying nature 🙂

Well, the fact that the TiVo is able to reach the Internet proves that it's working in some way, otherwise the traffic would be bouncing back to the TiVo if the XP laptop thought the Internet was on the Ethernet port.
