I know 2kpro doesn't like it, but what about xp home? Apparently it supports it, but are there any published benchmarks comparing home and pro with HT enabled? Thanks yall!:)

The tuning here is virtual identical. Different working set on each (due to differing features).

Same Os basicly...
Home = for home users
Pro = for professional users ie workstations at a buisness etc.

Personaly I wouldnt use anything but xp pro because home is just a wattered down version and it seems to have some bugs pop up once and awhile.

Not sure about the comment about more bugs - XP Home is almost entirely a subset of XP Pro. I can't think of many things on Home that Pro can't do through installation/configuration changes. About the only significant internal difference is capping on physical CPU count.

I'm pretty sure what is more likely is there is far more copies of XP Home edition on the market. Add to that the exotic/troublesome combinations of hardware that home users have vs. the more conservative/conformant corporate hardware. You're far more likely to see more problems/bugs in conjunction with Home than Pro.
