XP Home to XP Pro Upgrade

I want to upgrade my laptop from XP home to XP pro do I need to do a clean Install or can I do an upgrade install? Any issues doing an upgrade install on my machine. If I do an upgrade install will all my settings, drivers, and programs be transferred to the new OS/. The reason I need to upgrade to pro is I need to be able to do install Visual Studio .NET to do ASP.NET which is not supported in XP Home.

Yes! It is almost a hands-off upgrade.
