XP Home automatic log off problem ?

Tom

Lifer
My sister-in-law has a problem with her Windows XP Home system.

She logs on, then after a couple of minutes of inactivity the computer logs her off, automatically. She does not want this automatic log off to happen.

I cannot find any setting in XP that enables/disables this ?

There is no screen saver enabled. I don't know if she has has a screen saver in the past that enabled this ability, but if she did, it isn't currently turned on.

TIA

Does it log her off or return her to the login screen with her applications still running (BIG difference). If the later, simply bring up display properties/screen saver and uncheck 'on resume, passsword protect'

There is no auto logoff option in Windows XP. Like the other users suggested, " display properties/screen saver and uncheck 'on resume, passsword protect " That should do what she wants..
