XP Help needed

last week I went to log on to my comp when I got a failed parser message, and I couldnt log in so I reinstalled Xp pro using the 6 boot floopys and the XP disc. After I installed it (with no errors), I rebooted to find after BIOS the blue screen, 😕 It said that Xp had been shutdown to prevent damage to my comp. (to late) I then tried to repair XP and i got the same thing.
I have a lot of software and important documents that I cant loose (not porn)😀 Has anyone encountered this problem or know of or how to fix this: any and all help will be appreciated, thanx

What's the BSOD? It can be a number of things, but I am going to take a shot in the dark and suggest you check your RAM with memtest. At the very least it sounds like some hardware is giving trouble, as this happens with a fresh OS install as well. Good luck and keep us posted.

I know that its not a hardware problem because I have been running XP pro for about a year (until recently), The version of XP is'nt corupted either. I installed XP again after that on the same partition, It only runs in "safe mode" can this be used to access the other XP pro?? So that I can back up files and then format??
