xp hanging

Hi,
I am running winxp on a P2 3xxMHz CPU with 256MB of RAM. If i were to open more than 1 application at the sametime my PC will hang! the applications running at the taskbar is norton antivirus and zonealarm.
why is this so?

Disable all the Bloat on XP.... (www.blackviper.com will help) and then see if the problem stops...

The low resources might be causing it..
