XP, Gateway Notebook, and Battery

hi, i recently installed XP on a Gateway Solo 2500, and the battery meter is seemingly WAY off...

looking on Gateways site, there is a Windows 95 util to correct this issue, but 95 ??

anyone know of an alternative?

Sounds to me like you need to cycle your battery to re-calibrate it.
