eek! My computer looks so ugly. After seeing font smoothing running on my bro's computer, I realize just how badly I need it. So I tried turning it on today...
I went into display properties, under the appearance tab, then clicked "effects". I noticed that the little box that said "use the following method to smooth screen fonts" was checked, but the selection box (clear type or standard) was left blank. I clicked the drop down menu and chose the "cleartype" method and hit apply, then ok. Nothing changed, and the fonts are still ugly as heck. I just can't figure out how to turn font smoothing on..
I have a good high res LCD screen so the smoothing feature shouldn't be a problem.
Any ideas?
