Hi,
I am still using Win 98, but am likely going to buy XP when I get a new system. I have some questions though: I think I've read that I can network two computers with firewire, but does that mean that I would be able to use the internet (DSL) through the network? Also, do I have to buy two copies of XP, one for each machine, or if I buy XP professional, can I install it on both machines?
If I keep 98 SE on the older rig, will the networking still work?

Thanks

I am curious as to why you would want to firewire connect two machines if they have network cards, or if only one of them has it, you would prolly be better off just having your machines networked that way.

Unrelated, FYI, I helped setup a friends XP machine, added Adaptec's firewire card w/4 ports, and hooked up his digital camera and everything seemed to work just fine.

AFAIK, you need licenses for every installation.
