XP File Sharing Password

I have an XP computer and a 98 computer hooked up in a little home LAN. The current XP computer used to be 98 and was networked fine with the other one, sharing files and all. However, when I upgraded it to XP, it now seems to want a password whenever I try to access my XP computer from my 98 computer. I've tried my administrator password and it rejects it each time. I dont have any more passwords to use--anyone else heard of this?

hey--i think i got it fixed now...
I set up some more file sharing stuff on my XP computer, didn't touch the other one and it seems to be working

mods--please delete this thread.

i don't know if you've done this but you can try:

double clicking on 'network neighborhood'
on the left (near the top) you will see a 'setup a small home or office network'
follow the wizard and that should be all that you have to do.

Does this have anything to do with the problem I am experiencing below:

I have set up a network of 5 computers and one of them is going to be a web server WIN2K IIS. I have already configured that all internet traffic goes through this computer and I will install a firewall soon.

The reason for this post, is that I am having problems sharing printers. In fact even though this machine isn't officially a server on the network, I want all printers (USB) to be managed by this computer.

Hence, I am trying to share a USB printer Canon S600 and it doesn't seem to work. Also I have found that everytime a workstation reboots, then the user has to enter password to get access to all the shared files or printers.

How can I share between workstations without having users enter another workstations password to gain access to the shared files?

from my experience, if you want to share folders/resources on a comp installed with winxp, u need to perform these steps:

double clicking on 'network neighborhood'
on the left (near the top) you will see a 'setup a small home or office network'
follow the wizard and that should be all that you have to do
