In the last two or three days -- no hardware changes or software updates, my system is hanging on booting up XP. No errors, it just freezes and sits there... usually on a black screen or right after the screen goes blue before the user logon. When it happens I just hit the reset button and usually the next time it boots up just fine with no problems or errors. I don't even get the "Windows did not finish booting successfully last time" menu. Any thoughts on what I can do to narrow this problem down? Or ideas about what might be the problem? I've got all Windows updates installed. It's XP Pro, SP2.
