Are any of the Windows evaluation CDs available for download or do you have to send away for them?

Indeed, seems to be working now.
The filter seems to be on and off on a daily basis these days.

I was happy to notice "shit" was unbanned a while back, only to have it banned again 24 hours later.

There really ough to be a public list of banned words, I hardly know what I can post anymore, I even tried to type "stab" in a post, and got censored, turned out later it was because the kids in OT was replying to every damn post they could, posting only that word

You might try looking for a Windows User Group in your area: LINK

Even if they don't have one available right at the meeting, I'm sure an officer with the group would be all too happy to get one for you. You might also try an education center like New Horizons which may well have some available as well.

Somehow "Spelling your curses correctly" doesn't seem like an indication on manliness to me.

And as has been pointed out over and over, there's a word filter in place, and while it seem to be down right now, people tend to spell "shit" as "$hit", "fuck" as "fvck", and so forth.

One would think that wouldn't be so hard to grasp

I'm going to be nice and assume this poster installed Windows XP evaluation and has it all setup nicely and now realizes his eval period is almost over and was asking is their away to convert his evaluation copy to a regular copy.

I think that it can be done if a new key is used. Should stop the timebomb from going off and save you a lot of work.
