XP DVD & CD Burning Question

I installed XP (Enterprise Version - no registering needed 😉 and it works fine. I don't see much difference thought besides the interface from Windows 2000. Here's what I can't figure out!
I have a 16X DVD Drive with a ATI All-in-wonder 128 (Rage) card. When I launch the Windows Media Player, it says that no decoder could be found. Has anyone else run into this issue??
Secondly, how do you burn CD's using the native windows sotware? I couldn't find any software. I installed the burner after installing XP.
Nero 5.5.51 seems to work fine but I want to try the xp burning software as well.
Any ideas??

Incidentally, what benefits do you guys see in XP over Win2k?? I can't find any for the most part, except the remote desktop option!

OK, what you need to do is either buy something like WinDVD or PowerDVD or I think if you download the latest DivX, that should work. I would of thought that MS would of included a DVD decoder if MP8 played dvds.

When you want to burn some files to a cd under XP, in the left frame, an option will appear to burn files to a cd. Click that and a box will be opened much like DirectCD and you just put the files you want to burn in there and you are set.
