This scanner is detected by XP and installed with a WIA driver as a PrimaScan 2400U (a twin of the Memorex, which itself is a twin of the Visioneer 4400USB; MS apparently just picked one name and went with it). It couldn't be easier. There should be no need to go off looking for further drivers, though the Web site is mentioned right in the sparse documentation that accompanies the unit.

I noticed that too... even the plastic on each is exactly the same. Although, i had a PrimaScan with a removable USB plug and my Visioneer's USB plug is permanently attached. BTW, the PrimaScan 2400U is the lesser bit-depth (is it 32bit?) and the PrimaScan 2600U is the 42bit, like the Visioneer 4400 and Memorex. Also, using the 42bit model's drivers for any of the "brands" (thinking of the downloaded ones) will work for ALL, including the lesser bit-depth models.
