xp drivers for ide controller???

okay every time i access the secondary channel (storage drive) on my system it always blue screens in xp.. it says somethign about a driver or contacting the manufacturer... the problem is that it goes by and then clicks right over to reboot so i can read the whole thing..

I'm using an Abit BE6 with the highpoint conroller... i think its hpt 366 and i was wondering if anyones got the latest driver for it.. i thought mine was good but i guess its not working right..

The last time i check from their (Highpoint) website, there are no driver support (HPT366) for XP...try installing the win2k version of it and see what happens next...

i am using the win2k version.. it keeps crappin out on me when i used ide2.. ide1 alone is good but with ide2 it is super unstable..

Maybe you should try win2k instead...
or figure out a way not to use ide2...
