XP: Double devices issue

I was taking a look at the device driver window, and I have 3 devices that show up twice: under Universal Serial Bus Controllers I have 2 copies of USB Root Hub and of Via Rev 5 or later Universal Host Controller. Under System Devices, Motherboard resources is the one showing up duplicates.

Is this normal? I tried deleting those devices, but XP installed them back on reboot.

I'm having some strange momentaneous freezes, that's why I'm investigating this. Via's Universal Host Controller is taking IRQ9, together with some other devices and the ACPI-Compliant System.

is it causing a problem? is everything working? if so forget about it, I'm sure your life has more pressing matters...

Remember that windows is not without bugs.

If you are truely that bored, you can try loading the newest via 4-in-1's. Also, are you sure that you dont have that many root controllers? for instance I have three root controllers physically on my motherboard, so I'd expect three instances in device manager which I have......
