XP Deleting Mulitple Installs

I have two SCSI drives in my computer one has an old XP install on it. I have tried formating this drive many times (Low Level in SCSI Boot, from command prompt, in XP by right clicking on the drive), yet when I reboot I am always asked which copy of XP doI want to boot in to. Does anyone out there know how I go about deleting the old one so I do not see this screen anymore? Thank you for any assistance.
