Hi. I loaded dracula the last sanctuary (point and click). year 2001. the game stutters whenever there is a standard video movie. at first the comp would kick it out completely and now it just lets it skip. i checked the direct x , everything ok, version 9. no patches on net. i have 1800+ cpu and 1g ram and a nvidea mx 400on a voodoo game board . that I have not overclocked. I think there are clues in the video segments and making this a lot harger than it should be. Anyone got any ideals? thanks a lot:disgust:

I couldn't get Star Trek Armada 1 to play video cutscenes properly in XP or any compatibility mode. The Longest Journey didn't like XP either.

Some win95/98 games just don't run properly under XP.

I have a similar setup and found fewer stutters when I disable apg texturing:
start>run>dxdiag>display>disable agp texture acceleration.

Also use riva tuner to set directX PCI mode texture memory to 0.

Thanks! I went and changed the display to 16 from 32 and it took care of the problem. It appears the game is too old to handle the newer cards! you might try the same with yours, I got lucky.
