XP burner support from HP?

My burner only reads some of my disks (of course I backed all my important stuff on CDs before clean installing XP :disgust:

HP says it will have free updates "shortly after the release of Windows XP"...

Anybody hear anything that would amount to a timetable???

I'm downloading Nero 5 as I write hoping to buy 30 days of useability.
