XP Bootup Loop

ok i have a computer that boots up and comes up with the boot menu asking to go into safe mode, last known, normal, yada yada and everything i hit just immediately reboots the system....when i hit safe mode it goes to tdi.sys and reboots...i tried replacing the file and what not but no luck...even tried chkdsk /r with no luck...im on my last ditch effort before i give up and reformat lol....if someone has seen this please let me know...i cant get anywhere near even the windows logo screen...it just reboots immediately and restarts everytime...if i can get into safe mode i know i can fix it but no luck

well its a relatives computer and he said his computer booted up and sat at loading personal settings and froze at that screen....he said he waited for like an hour and nothing....so he shut it down and after that he got this problem....didnt try the cmos but i highly doubt this is a hardware related problem...as i said i can reformat but i really wanted to know how to fix this in case i ran into it again

Sounds like a possible hijack. Only thing you can do at this point is to clear the CMOS and hope that you can go into safemode and then use the anti-spyware virusscans to rid of them.
