I am having trouble booting the drive that i want. I have a ton of drives in this computer but everything was working fine until i added a SCSI controller to do tape backups (it has since been removed). My current disk setup is as follows:

Asus A7M266-D Motherboard - 0 disks on this controler (ata100 - so i dont use)
HighPointRocketRaid 133 - 4 disks on this controller (4 PATA IDE for storage)
Maxtor SATA/150 PCI card - 3 disks on this controller (2 PATA IDE for storage. 1SATA RAPTOR system drive w/ Windows XP*)

*The Western Digital SATA RAPTOR is the drive i want to boot from.

So the above setup was working fine until i tried to add a SCSI controller to do tape backups (there are no SCSI hard drives in this machine). I added the SCSI controller and the system still booted to the Raptor drive. I rebooted the machine again and I went into the SCSI BIOS just to make a change so the system would boot faster. after i did that i rebooted the machine and it went through the process of recognizing all the attached storage as normal. after it recognizes the last drives the system gets stuck and wont boot into the SATA Raptor drive as it once did.

I tried to removed the SCSI controller and ultimately removed the HighPoint Controller because that was the only way the system would boot. The system will boot with the HighPoint controller in it but wont if there are any drives attached to it. Now that the other controllers are out, the system boots fine but i want the system to boot with the HighPoint controller installed as it originally did.

I think by installing the SCSI controller the system reconfigured the way it boots and now it is looking for a system drive on the HighPoint controller which only contains drives for storage.

I think this is something relatively easy to fix but i just don't know much about configuring how the system boots.

Can someone help me?
