Ok, I'm at work typing this, so some of this is from memory...
Over the weekend I tried to put together my new Biostar 210VB.
Initially, it would reboot a few times on it's own, then when it came to the main screen, it would have the error box and try to send it to microsoft. I then did two things:
1. Turned off the auto reboot on fail
2. Reinstalled all drivers off the mobo cd.
This seemed to do the trick for the rest of the day. Not until the next morning, when i turned it on, and 5 minutes into browsing something with IE, do I get the blue screen. I'm not sure what could be the problems, so I was curious if you could reccomend some.
Here is my hardware:
2 Sticks of Crucial 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200)
ATI Radeon 9600 (used in previous machine and has worked fine)
NETGEAR WGT624 IEEE 802.11b/g
CPU AMD|2600 /333 ATHLON XP
300GB SATA Maxtor HD
LITE ON DVD-ROM/DVD DL RW
Here is what I've tried so far:
- Reinstalled all drivers off of the cd that came with the biostar
- unplugged and plugged back in all periphials (video card, RAM)
- tested the ram with http://www.memtest86.com/
Yet I still randomly get a blue screen of errors.
Any suggestions?
I have the FSB set to 133.
What should the other multiplier/RAM settings be in the BIOS? I always forget how to figure out what the settings should be.
Thanks in advance!
Tyler
