XP Autodial hell!!

For some reason..every 10 minutes my computer (XP Pro) tries to dial into the internet. Its like a battle....every time I tell it to "cancel" it pops back up about 3 more times and I am good for another 10 minutes, or until it wants to fight with me again. 🙂 I have turned off everything I know of to prevent this. I have disabled the "check email every X mins" on my outlook and outlook express. I have gone into my internet properties and set it to "never dial a connection", am I missing one? how do I disable this? Does anyone know what is causing this? Its a pain when you are playing a game and all of a sudden it minimizes and the dial into the internet app. pops up. I didnt have this problem with 98...
