XP + Antec Smartmedia adapter = Delete Pics

I have a digital camera, Fuji 609Z, Viking 128mb smartmedia card, Antec PCCard Smartmedia reader, WinXp, IBM T20.


I Started WinXp..i insert the smartmedia card and XP Blue Screened. System Halted was the message.

I rebooted and my pics were gone and it said my smartmedia card needed formatting.

I stuck the card back into the camera and the camera says the card needs to be re-initalize....my pics are gone!!! HELP!!!


Anyone ever encoutered any problems like this??

Or know a way i might be able to recover my pics???
