XP and ZoneAlarm conflict?

I just recently installed zonealarm the free version and for some reason my internet completely stopped working. I'm currently dual booting, and the internet worked fine in win 98. Another thing is I couldn't even get to my Linksys router in xp. I uninstalled zonealarm and now everything is working fine. But I was just wondering if anyone had a similar problem?

i had the exact same problem.....u will have to apply a password to zone alarm to get it to start working.

in my case i would have to manually start ZA to get it to start working.

Zone Alarm works for me, some problems once in awhile but I'm use to them and know exactly why there happening.

Your problem probably occured because your not familiar with zone alarm and it's setup, once you know it's in's and out's it the best firewall around.

It's not free, but the latest version of Norton Internet Security works great in XP & it also blocks ads rather well.

I always used ZoneAlarm before, but had nothing but trouble with it in XP.
