xp and x2 questions

well i know there has been alot of talk about the x2 in these forums (did a search) but,

1) does xp home support amd x2's. i keep reading yes then the next person says no so which is it and do u have any links which prove this one way or another

2) During a clean install of windows xp home do u need to do anything during the install for the x2's ( i read something about hitting f5 during set up but i also heard u don't need to?)

XP Home supports a single CPU with as many cores as you want.

I'm not sure if you need to do anything special, other than make sure your BIOS is updated to support dual core.
