xp and tv wonder fix?

I am having a really bad picture on my tv wonder and xp pro. According to the ati website this is a common problem. They said to swith your picture depth from 32 bit to 16 bit or vise versa. I did that and it worked, but you have to do it everytime you launch the tv tuner! Which is a pain. I also made sure I had the latest drivers for my pny gf3 ti 200.
The wierd thing is if i record the video it is fine and it is fine if I switch to "surf mode" but if i try to watch tv the picture is really screwed up.

Does anyone know of a permanent fix to this problem?

what detonater version are you running?

I am using version 2.3.1.1 ( I just downloaded it yesterday)
I looked in the archives but no one ever really seemed to have a fix for the gf3 ti200 with mmc 7.5 combo.
