I've heard from a couple different places that XP might be monitoring your system software for any "cracked" software and then sending that info to that software company, or making it so you can not run any "cracked" software under XP.
does anyone know if there is any validity to these claims or not? i personally don't think so, but i tend to "crack" stuff that i buy retail, just so i don't have to keep swapping CD's in and out whenever i want to play a game.
