XP and router problems

I have two computers connected to a Netgear RT314 and both comps had win2k in it. All I ever had to do was install win2k in each box and depending on what folders I let the computer share...I can see the other computer from one computer and vice versa without touching any other settings....however now that I'm using winXP I can't seem to do that anymore....does anyone know how to fix this?

I doubt that it has to do with your Router.

Check carefully all your XP, and W2K network setting.

cant seem to do what? share files? go into winxp network config wizard, select the type of network you have, and make sure you use the same workgroup name, and all should be well.
