XP and registration

How many times does Microsoft allow you to register XP? What happens when this limit is reached and I have a genuine reason to register again?

Dude, I don't want to sound like an ass but these registration questions are getting old. You can register as many times as you want. What I would do is call them every hour and re-register to piss them off

Is activation that thing I need to do within 30 days? Well then what is registration?

Registration is as it's always been - optional - the same as when you Register any piece of Software

Avtivation is a new anti-piracy thing of Microsoft's and it is compulsory

You get one activation over the internet. If you reinstall XP on the same hardware, you can still reactivate over the internet, no problem. If you install it on different hardware, you need to call microsoft and explain the situation.
