XP and NT Server mapped drives password?

My XP mapped drives (NT Server) won't remember the password, even though I have checked the box that tells it to. After a reboot I have to reenter my password to get to my NT shares, anyone know why?
 
if you check "reconnect" it should not prompt for a passwd if your user name matches the server & the passwd is the same as your XP logon. If the user name differs, create the same account name on the server. If the passwd is different, you should either change the passwd on the server/domain or the local account on XP to match.
