XP and network file sharing

Hi, anyone that knows a little about Networking in XP should be able to help me here.
I am running WinXP 2475.

I am having trouble enabling File Sharing for a network.
I go to where it should be (right click on the drive and click on sharing tab). But the area that I need to fiddle with is greyed out.
There is a message that says "to enable network sharing run the network setup wizard". So I run it. And half way through it cries about an IP that it thinks is being used by a device in my system that it needs for ICS. It says I have to disable the device. But I can't work out what that device is.
I can't continue Network setup wizard. So it won't let me share my folders.
Does anyone know how I can manually active Network Sharing without the wizard?

cheers
