With Win98SE installed and connected to my ISP, if i walked away for a little more an hour the connection would drop due to inactivity i presume.

With WinXP installed the connection never drops, no matter how long i'm gone, is this normal? I'm not complaining or anything, i just realized it and wanted to see if it's normal. Maybe there's something in WinXP that's checkin for updates? Although i've disabled automatic checking for updates.
