XP and Modem Properties

I use an Init string i believe its called for connecting to my multiplayer games, really helps stabalize my 56K connect and creates alot less warp for me. I switched from Win98SE to XP and now i have no clue where to put the line i use. It use to go in the my modems Extra Settings. Can i still use the extra settings feature in XP modem properties?

you can use your strings, but make sure XP works with those drivers, if not, get the latest from the modem manu. that support XP.
