XP AND BURNING APPS

Everytime I use diskjuggler 3.07 or Nero 5.51 with my 24x TDK; XP will no longer recognize any disks that I own or created untill I reboot. After reboot XP will recognize all cds that I swap in and out. But after creating an image with a burning app XP wont recognized.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I am using an ecs 1.4 athlon setup.

Also I had to update aspi drivers for diskjuggler could aspi drivers mess with xp?

I dont know? Could it be hardare?

Need some bigtime help.

Sincerely,
Clocker

I saw something similar after I upgraded Nero 5.5.4.0 (or whatever it was) to 5.5.5.1. After burning with Nero the native Windows XP CD writing software got confused about what was in the cd writer and whether or not it could write to it. I uninstalled Nero totally, then re-installed 5.5.5.1 fresh. After that, the native writing software and Nero got along just fine. I figure it must have been an errant registry entry that might need a clean Nero install to get itself fixed. But, of course, this is just anecdotal evidence. One case doesn't make for very good science.

I have not installed any cd writing software that requires an ASPI layer. I made a decision to avoid that since Windows XP appears not to need an ASPI layer, as such, and I didn't want to risk scuttling RC2. Now that I've got to know Nero a little better, I probably won't bother with anything else once I get the final release of the OS installed. Where does Disk Juggler install the ASPI files it needs, in its home directory or in a system directory?
