XP Advice... Damn backaorders.....

Well I had ordered an EPOX 8HKA+ plus from some company, and they screwed me over. I payed for 2nd day shipping and it was in stock, then when my order didn't exist on their database, i called, and they said they ran out..didn't even bother to tell me for a few days !Arhhh!!!

Anyways, I am using an old pc right now, but I need a mobo so I can accompany theAthlonXP1800,Alpha pho8XXX?, and 512 2100mhz DDR I got. See my dilemma?

I was of course planning on getting the Epox, but should I wait for the new abit or perhaps an ASUS? I am not in dire need anymore..read my previous posts to see what happened to my old pc.

Basically, I want something stable compared to the crap Via "included" in their kt133. I know th e kt266a is supposed to be great, and I feel glad for via, but i need to choose a mobo.

So should i wait, or should i buy now. If so, were can i find the Epox board...everone, and I mean EVERYONE is sold out.

My parts include
Ati redon DDR 64MB VIVO
18GB Quantum 10kII Ultra160
40Gb IBM
etc, Read my previous post for info.

I would appreciate anything even BS=)

Thanks bros

Lets not forget the ladies as well

From what I've seen the Epox board is good - as long as it doesn't show up DOA. If you are really convinced you want it, Newegg is reporting a new batch in on this Monday (10/22). You can sign up for auto-notification as well.

As for waiting - it might be a good idea, but you'll be waiting until November. Most people are speculating that both manufacturers (Abit and Asus) won't have their boards out for a few weeks.

Hope this helps.
